Born in Marlborough in the year the first vines were planted, Jules has literally grown up with Sauvignon Blanc.
Local girl Jules is deeply invested in the region and its grape-growing families, and throughout her career has made some of Marlborough’s best known and successful wines.

CULTIVATED IN NEW ZEALAND
Back in Marlborough, Jules worked her way up to Group Senior Winemaker at Marlborough Valley Cellars and was responsible for making some of Marlborough’s best-loved wines. But with encouragement from friends and mentors, Jules branched out on her own, founding the imaginatively named “Jules Taylor Wines” in 2001 with a mere 200 cases.

TAKING THE PLUNGE
Five years, two children and many, many late nights later, George and Jules took the nail-biting decision to go all-in and make the business their full-time gig. With the global financial crisis looming, Jules suffered sleepless nights, second-guessing her decision.
However, as the awards and trophies began to stack up, her confidence grew, and Jules Taylor Wines flourished into the successful and much-loved brand we know today.
